Hornets Win Ugly Blowout Against The Bobcats

The first 3 quarters were ugly, but our Hornets finally pulled away in the 4th quarter, outscoring the Cats 24-11. Heres the scoring chart:

The Good:

Chris Paul's near dub-dub. 9 points, 14 assists, 5 boards, and 4 steals. Pretty nice stat line, minus the points.

Marcus Thornton's Play: MT had himself a nice little game, scoring 7 points on 3 for 6 shooting.

David West: Like I said, he's one of the most consistent players in the NBA. 22 points, 6 boards, and 2 blocked shots.

Emeka Okafor's Strong Play Down Low: 14 points, 13 rebounds, and 2 stuffs.

Here's the teams box score

The Bad:

Willie Green's: 3 turnovers. Enough said.

Trevor Ariza's: 4 for 15 shooting and 2-8 on three pointers.

Jason Smith's: 5 fouls. We need his energy on the floor. 5 fouls in 17 minutes isn't going to do that.

Thanks for reading, and Geaux Hornets!

That Was Embarrasing

Well, as you all know the Hornets got blown out by a certain San Antonio Spurs basketball team at home. After leading 61-44 at the half, they were outscored 34-65 in the 2nd half.

Some Bright Spots:

  • David West: He's perhaps the most consistent player in the NBA today, and can be counted on to drop twenty points and 7+ boards every night.

  • Marcus Thornton: Finally getting minutes, and posting an efficient game. Check out his stat line.

  • Chris Paul: You can't really complain when a 6 foot tall 175 lb point guard scores 15 points, dishes 7 assists, and grabs 6 boards. One complaint is 3 turnovers but being the competitor he is CP3 will take better care of the ball next game.

  • Emeka Okafor's 5 blocks and 7 rebounds.
